Viktor & Rolf Runway Show - Paris Fashion Week Spring 2012

I love Viktor and Rolf's runway shows.  I think they are both geniuses and are extremely creative.  They both are very detail oriented, which is displayed in all their runway shows.  Everything is very theatrical, which is what I love about it.  I love this particular show because it starts with the two girls standing tall and singing, then their dresses open up to reveal the runway show.  I love the colors used in this collection as well.  There's a lot of black and pink and those are two of my favorite color combonations.

#5 2012 Fall Colors

One of the most important parts of fashion is color.  Every season we see new colors flashing down the runways.  It's imperative for every fashionista to stay up to date on the color trends.  That's why I am going to share the fall 2012 color trends with you!

Warm Palette

For fall 2012 there has been a tremendous use of warm colors that are inspired by the '70s.  We see colors like red, fuchsia, maroon, raisin, pumpkin, orange, tangerine, and mustard. Pure red has become one of the most used colors of this season, while different tones of orange are becoming popular as well. My favorite out of these colors is the raisin. For me, nothing screams fall more than that!!    

Cool Palette

The cool colors this season are still holding on to last seasons cobalt blue, while ink is increasingly being used as both base and fashion colors. We are seeing a lot of different shades of blues.  The colors for fall 2012 are chartreuse, O.D, Emerald, Periwinkle, Petrol, Cobalt, Ink, and Purple. My favorite color out of the cool tones is emerald.  I love the way it pops and I'll be sure to be using it in my wardrobe!!

#4 NY FASHION

As I walk the streets of New York I am constantly noticing people wearing all the different fall trends for this year.  Everyone is looking great and inspiring me to spice up  my wardrobe!

1)      Leather Jackets

Leather jackets are everywhere! They’re the perfect item for fall.  Not only is it stylish, but it keeps you warm as the weather starts to get colder.  The most common color I’ve seen is obviously black, but I’ve also seen people wearing red and tan leather jackets.  This piece of clothing is the perfect way to add edginess to any outfit!

2)      Tights

Tights are a perfect accessory to any outfit this fall.  They can dress up an outfit or add a funky style to it, depending on what tights you wear.  I’ve seen so many people walking the streets in New York wearing tights.  The best part is they come in all different colors too, so they’re fun to wear.  It’s also perfect for fall because they help keep your legs warm in the cold.

3)      Sheer

I am loving anything sheer right now. From sheer tops to sheer skirts, I feel anything sheer is a must have item this fall.  Everyone around FIT is sporting the sheer look.  Its fun, it’s edgy, and it looks great. I am a huge fan!

4)      Scarves

Obviously a classic fall accessory is the scarf.  Everywhere I look I see more and more people wearing them as the weather gets colder.  Scarves are fun because they can spice up any outfit by adding color or a fun print.  My favorite scarves right now are the ones that the girl below is wearing!
